Reflective Retreat

The Reflective Retreat is specifically designed for:

• Ministers re-entering their home culture after living in another cultural setting
• Missioners who are on furlough and plan to return to the same setting
• Ministers discerning a new cultural environment and ministry

A Reflective Retreat will offer the time, space, process, and accompaniment to reflect on your overseas or at-home mission experience.

• How God was/is present in the other cultural/setting?
• How you are being transformed by the experience?

Guidance and encouragement will be provided to:

• Look deeply at the presence of God in your life and the world
• Integrate the values and learning gained from living and ministering with another culture
• Share and honor your own personal experience
• Assist you in adjusting to your new home cultural setting

Retreat will include

• A welcoming and safe environment to share your store as "the story grows stronger as each story is told" [Japanese proverb]
• Individual consultation with an experienced missioner-director
• Group reflection process if desired
• Time for private prayer, reflection and group prayer and liturgy
